About Nilar
• History
In 1958, the first Nilar Biryani and Cold
Drink were founded by Mr. Tin Hla. His idea was to give customers the fresshest, highest
quality foods you can buy and provide them with friendly
service in a sparkling clean environment. These principles
have work so well over the years that they are stilll the
company's fundamental philosophy.
Quality, freshness, and service were very improtant to Tin
Hla. Their sons learned the business from the "ground
floor". From early age Mr.Tin Hla learning the principle
that were to become the cornerstones of Nilar's philosophy.
In no time Nilar earned reputation and customer trust, went
off opening ten more out lets all over Yangon. Having a Head
office in the downtown and new facility allowed Nilar to
have total quality control over all ingredients. In
addition, Nilar managed to venture deeper into food market
by having a bakery called Innwa Confectionary and Cold
Drink, Simlar Indian Restaurant and Nilar Chinese
Restaurant.
Though times have changed, little has changed at Nilar. The
Briyani, Cold Drink is still the same basic menu customers have enjoyed
since 1958. Everything is still made fresh to order.
Customers may oberve Briyani being served from steaming hot pots,
fresh. And the Cold Drink is made from real ice cream.
There have been a few modifications in recent years. Some of
the newer locations provide indoor and outdoor seating.
Aside from renovation improvements, though, Nilar has
retained the basic traditions that have made it a favorite
for over 50 years.
Nilar remains privately owned and the family has no plans to
take the company public or franchise any units. All
Associates are treated like family. Many Associates have
been with Nilar for over 20 years, some even worked with Mr.
Tin Hla in the early years. These relationships and the
commitment to the company's philosophies continue to
make Nilar a very special place to work.
• Food Quality
At Nilar Briyani and Cold drink, quality is everything.
That's why in a word where food is often over-processed,
prepackaged and frozen, Nilar makes everything the old
fashioned way.
Our commitment to quality starts from the raw material we
use. We make the Briyani from fresh, 100% pure chicken. They are
free of additives, fillers and preservatives of any kind.
Our Cold Drink is made from 100% pure milk and fresh eggs. We use
only the best of maintain our quality. But the focus on
quality starts well before we delliver food to our outlets.
We produce our quality food at the facility that meets world
class standard. Since we only serve B and 30 dirrerent kinds
of
Cold Drink, making a high quality food is everything to us.
We have always made every one of our product ourselves using
only the premium quality chicken selected espcially for
Nilar. We also have company owned chicken farm to keep our
production and quality stable. We individually inspect every
single chicken we received to make sure that it meets our
standards. Then our highly skilled, in-house butchers remove
the unwanted parts, wash them trolley, and make them into
peaces. We do all of this in our facility on our property in
Tarkato, Yangon. These steps enable us to completely control
the chicken-making process and be absoultely certain of the
quality and freshness of every plate of Briyani we serve.
Our commitment to quality doesn't stop there. The rice we
use, we pay premium price to make sure it's the best we
could find in the whole of Myanmar. From the time they are
harvested till the moment we use, it has been taken utter
most care. The oil and butter we use are especially imported
form Malaysia. The spices and beans we use are also the
preminum quality some from local some imported. The milk we
use for the Cold Drink comes only from the farms that meet our
standard. We have special team formed to check these farms
on regular bases to make sure our quality standard are
enforced at all time. Not just that all the other products
that we use are checked, double checked to make sure our
customers are served with only the best. We at Nilar take
our work place not just a place we work at , it's a temple
to us. |
